The Curriculum and Examination Pattern

The school follows the Remodelled Assessment Pattern of CBSE,a system of school based assessment that covers all aspects of students’ development. It emphasizes two fold objectives – continuity in evaluation and assessment of broad based learning and behavioural outcome. It includes both scholastic and co-scholastic areas which helps in improving students performance by identifying his/her learning difficulties at regular time intervals right from the beginning of academic session and employing suitable remedial measures for enhancing their learning performance.
The examination pattern has Pre-midterm, Midterm,Post-midterm and Annual Examination. For class X the Annual examination is Board conducted. For classes VI to VIII the pattern is Periodic Test and Half yearly in Term -1 and, Periodic test and Annual Exam in Term -2. The syllabus is cumulative. For IX and X the whole years portion is covered for the Annual Examination. For class VI 10%, VII 20% and VIII 30% portion from the first term will be added to second term. Periodic
Assessment covers 10% for periodic test, 5% for note books, 5% for Subject Enrichment Activities (total 20%) and 80% for term exams. For classes IX and X, average of the term exams,with note books and Subject Enrichment Activity covers 20% and annual exam is for 80%. The student should score 33% marks separately for Periodic Assessment and exams for getting promotion to next higher class. 5 point scale grades are awarded for Work Education, Health and Physical Education Art Education, and Discipline.
