‘Mayookham’ which means ‘a ray of  light’ was  literally resonant for the cultural extravaganza, the Annual Day Celebrations,   held on 15th and 16th  January.  Renowed cine artist, Mr.Rajesh Thamburu inaugrated the function. Mr. Mohandas.M, caricaturist was the guest of honour. Mr. M.A.Shoukath Ali (Chairman, PET) presided over the function.   Manager Mr.I.T.Mohammed Ali welcomed the gathering.  Principal Mrs. Latha Rajagopal read the annual report.  Mrs.P.Venu (President, Nattika Grama Panchayath), Mr.K.K.Abdul Latif (Secretary, PET), Mr. E.A.Haris (Treasurer, PET) and Mr. V. Gopalan, (academic advisor) felicitated the function.    Mrs. Nishamol.A.L staff secretary proposed vote of thanks.  Variety entertainments were staged by the students on two days.


The school joined the noble ad humanitarian venture of helping the flood-hit victims of Chennai ‘Chennaikkoru Kaithangu’ organized by Mathrubhumi Daily.  Contributions were collected and an amount of Rs.25000/- was handed over to the coordinators of the mission ‘ Sahodariku Snehapoorvam’ on 11th December 2015.


With a colourful Marchpast in tune with the beats of patriotic fervour, 67th Republic Day was celebrated in the school.  Manager Mr. I.T.Mohammed Ali hoisted the flag and delivered the Republic Day message.  Students presented patriotic songs and speeches in the function. 


Onam Celebration

The fragrance and flavors of Onam were brought to the campus on 24th September when the school celebrated Onam in the most colorful way. The Chairman Mr. M.A Shoukath Ali and the principal Mrs. Latha Rajagopal gave their Onam message to the students. Traditional games like Tug of war, Uriyadi etc. were arranged by the students of senior classes. The grand floral carpet designed by the students and teachers from Kinder Garten to the senior Secondary level added glory to the celebration. Onam kits were distributed to 150 families as a part of the social service activities on the same day.  

Felicitation Ceremony of Class X

The A1 holders and the other students of AISSE 2014-15 batch were honored in a function arranged in the school on 25th September. The chairman Mr. M.A Shoukath Ali presided over the function. He appreciated the A1 holders and all other students for bringing laurels to the institutions. The teachers and A1 holders who got special appreciation from the ministry of HRD were also honored in the function.



Investiture Ceremony

The Investiture ceremony of the newly elected Parliament members were conducted on 30th June. The newly elected headboy Salman Salim administered the pledge to the other members. Badges were confused upon the students in the function. Principal Mrs.Latha Rajagopal conveyed her message to the Parliament members.


The World Environment  Day Celebration

With a view to create awareness about the protection of our environment, the World Environment Day was celebrated in the school on 5th June. Principal Mrs.Latha Rajagopal conveyed the Environment Day message. Under the auspices of the Eco club, saplings were planted in the campus .Intramural competitions in poster making and essay writing were conducted and the winners were awarded in the assembly.


Awareness class for parents

An awareness class on multiple intelligence for the parents of the students of classes X and XII was conducted on 6th June. The class was led by Mr.N.M Hussain, Manager of knowledge centre of CIGI.


Inauguration of Health Club

To keep the students in  pace with the contemporary health- awareness campaigns, a Health Club was formed in the school. The inauguration of the club was done on 15th June in the morning assembly. The students took a pledge extending their cooperation and service for spreading the message of health awareness and thereby improving the quality of life .Principal Mrs.Latha Rajagopal explained the objectives and activities of the club to the students.


Lemer Alumni Association

A meeting for the formation of Lemer Alumni Association was held on 16th May in the school campus. Secretary Mr.Abdul Latif K.K presided over the meeting.Vice Principal Mrs.Preetha K.B ,welcomed the gathering .Manager Mohammed Ali. I.T ,Senior Coordinator Mrs.Sujatha Mohanbabu and Headmistress Mrs.Sunitha Nandan felicitated the function. Executive committee members and office bearers were elected and future programmes were charted in the meeting. Students from various batches of AISSE attended the meeting.


A meeting of the executive body was held on 20th May 2015 at 11:30 am in the school library. As an initial step, Mohammed Azhar and Aparna Rajeev addressed the students of XII. Aparna Rajeev gave an awareness class on career guidance.

Mohammed Azhar threw light on the Civil Services Examination procedures.



‘Reading makes a full man’ As Francis Bacon rightly said, reading reforms an individual by purifying his soul. Reading Day was celebrated on 19th June commemorating the contribution of Mr. K.N Panicker who devoted his life for books and reading. The best readers of the last academic year were honoured in the function. Students presented speeches and introduced their favourite books in the assembly. Charts and posters on the importance of reading were displayed on the notice board.



School Parliament Election was conducted on 24th June with a view to keep the students in touch with the democratic ways of ruling. The students from Classes VI to XII cast their valuable votes for their favourite candidates for the posts of head boy, head girl, assistant head boy, assistant head girl ,house captains and vice captains .The investiture ceremony of the elected members will be conducted on 30th June.






Clean Campus, Safe Campus

As a part of the programme, ‘Clean Campus Safe Campus’ organized by the Department of Police, students took a pledge on 3rd June declaring their participation in the programme and decision to keep away from all kinds of drugs.


Induction Festival ‘Pravesanotsavam’


The school reopened on 1st June after the summer vacation. Principal Mrs.Latha Rajagopal lighted the lamp which marked the auspicious beginning of the academic and non- academic activities of the school. Holy scriptures were read out from the Koran, Gita and Bible to mark relevance of unity. The objectives of the new academic year were outlined in the morning assembly. Manager Mr. I.T Mohammed Ali, Vice Principal Mrs. Preetha K.B, Senior Co ordinator Mrs.Sujatha Mohanbabu and Headmistress Mrs. Sunitha Nandan addressed the students. Children sang welcome song and presented speeches to add glory to the induction festival.


Awareness Class on Multiple Intelligence


Prior to introducing the multi faceted project of finding the gifted students in various realms of learning, an awareness class on multiple intelligence was conducted on 18th and 26th May in the school .Mr.N.M Hussain, Manager of Knowledge Centre of CIGI (Centre for Information and Guidance of India).An enlightening session on 21st century learning was also held as a part of the class.


Awareness Programme

In order to give an auspicious beginning to the new academic year 2015-16, an awareness programme was conducted for the parents and students of classes IX and X on 2nd May.Additional Sub Inspector of Valapad station Mr.Jagadeesh gave the class to the students and parents in different sessions .Mr.Jagadessh gave the class on ‘Road Rage’ and ‘Mobile Mania’ and the safety and security measures the children need to follow in everyday life.Principal Mrs.Latha Rajagopal addressed the students on the occasion. Secretary Mr.K.K Abdul Latif , Manager Mr.I.T Mohammed Ali, Vice Principal Mrs.Preetha K.B and Academic Coordinator Mrs.Sujatha Mohanbabu felicitated the function.






 Republic Day was celebrated in the school with all the colours of patriotic fervours. Vice Principal Mrs.Sujatha Mohanbabu welcomed the gathering. Manager Mr.I.T Mohammed Ali hoisted the flag and received the Guard of Honour.The March Past of the four houses of the school, band and Karate demonstration added the colour to the function .Headmistress Mrs.Preetha K.B proposed vote of thanks.


 The school shared its spirit and enthusiasm for the 35th National Games hosted by Kerala. The students joined their hands together to be a part of the RUN KERALA RUN event on 20th January. Headgirl Gopikanath read out the pledge. Vice Principal Mrs.Sujatha Mohanbabu flagged off the running event in the school campus at 10:30 am.



 Anti corruption Day and Human Rights Day were observed in the school on 9th and 10th December respectively.Charts and posters were put up on the notice board and speeches were presented in connection with these days.


 With a view to give awareness about the deadly disease, the World Aids Day was observed on 1st December. The red symbol of caution was worn by all students on the day. A speech on the importance of the observance of this day was also given in the morning assembly. 

                                           Sahodaya Sports Meet

  In the Sahodaya Sports Meet held on 25th November 2014 at Christ College,Irinjalakuda,the school achieved 2nd position both in Marchpast and Bandset competitions.

 The School participated in the CBSE Sahodaya State Youth Festival held at Sarvodaya Central School, Naalanchira,Thiruvananthapuram on 14th,15th,16th November and won prizes and grades in different categories.

    Children’s Day and Founders Day

 14th November witnessed the celebration of Children’s Day and Founders Day in a colourful way in the school assembly. Jawaharlal Nehru’s approach towards children and what the new generation is expected to do in the changing world of today were highlighted in the message given by the Principal Mrs. Latha Rajagopal. The dedicated service done by Mr. M.A.Yousuff Ali, the Chief Patron of the School, in ensuring quality education to the Children of Coastal area was also pointed out in the message. Children presented dance, music and magic show to make the importance of Children’s Day. The winners of the digital painting competition conducted by the I.T. Club of the School were honoured in the function.

World Diabetes Day was also observed on the same day. Student presented speeches and displayed chart to mark the significance of the day.



  ‘Keralappiravi Celebrations’

 The greatness of our mother tongue Malayalam was stressed in a unique way in the programme conducted in the school by the Department of Malayalam on 1st November. Mr.Murali Puranattukara ,the superintendent of Guruvayoor Devaswam Kalanilayam inaugurated the programme .He presented the importance of Malayalam through an enlightening speech on the language and its manifestation in poetry. Students presented various cultural items as a tribute to the state on its birthday.

31st October- Anti- Terrorism Day and National Unity Day

 Anti – Terrorism Day was observed in the school on 31st October commemorating the martyrdom of our former Prime Minister Mrs.Indira Gandhi. National Unity Day was also observed on the same day in the memory of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhai Patel. The message of unity was passed to the students by the programme conducted by various clubs. The students took the oath of unity and formed a human chain in the school compound. A rally highlighting the need to fight terrorism was conducted as a part of the programme.


Open House for classes LKG to XI was conducted on 18th October. A special meeting of the parents of students from classes IX to XI was conducted on the same day. The performance of the students in the first Summative Assessment was evaluated in the meeting.

Teacher’s Day and Onam celebration

The Celebration of Onam and Teacher’s Day on 5 th September aroused the warm feelings of love, respect, caring and sharing among students and teachers.  Teachers were honoured in the school assembly for the invaluable service of moulding the new generation.  The celebration of Onam acquired a different shade and tones the compassion when the students came forward to give a soothing touch to the poor and the needy in and around the school.  Onam kits were distributed to 150 poor families under the auspices of the ‘Nallapadam’ programme.  The students quit the ‘Pookalam’ competition, and other colourful celebrations for the sake of contributing money and food items for their act of compassion


 In the South Zone CBSE Judo competition held at Vivekananda Residential School,Karimnagar, Telengana, three of our students, Indrajith.K.S. (under  16), Cheloor Saravanan Mohandas (under 19) and Vaishnav Rudra .N.B (Under 12) won gold medals with their outstanding performance. Congratulations to the winners!!!!! They are qualified for National Judo Championship.


 The school participated in the Thrissur District Kalotsav and made a very remarkable achievement by winning the overall trophy in Category II and the 3rd position in Category III. Total points scored by the school is 540.
